Country Psychosocial Support Services
& Accommodation Support Program

Based in Port Lincoln and the Riverland these programs support people with mental health issues, some of whom are often have been in and out of hospital for awhile. Although clients must be engaged with their local Mental Health Service in order to be referred to us, there is no limit to the duration of support that we provide.

We understand that many clients are dealing with severe and complex issues aside from their mental health issues and there’s no telling how long an individual will take to overcome their challenges; or whether they will succeed at all. Which is why our case managers and peer workers can come alongside clients to help them develop skills for independent living. This includes goal setting and budgeting, providing access to information and resources, exploring and finding meaningful activities and establishing and maintaining relationships.

Many of our clients live out in the country and owing to a lack of personal transport feel physically and emotionally isolated. We identify and help them access transport schemes which can provide the mobility they need so they can integrate with their community.

With over a hundred clients assisted since 2005, Country Psychosocial Support Services & Accommodation Support Program is making it possible for people to live meaningful lives despite their mental health issues.
