Baptist Care SA (Inc) (BC(SA)) is a not for profit organisation that has been delivering community services throughout South Australia for over 90 years. We provide care and support that will help
you to gain the confidence, knowledge and skills you need to reach your full potential.
What is Job Services Australia?
Job Services Australia is an Australian Government Initiative providing a newer, simpler and more effective employment service. It is designed so that job seekers will receive individual support
in the form of the right mix of training, skills development and work experience.
What can we do for you?
As a Job Services Australia provider, BC(SA) staff will partner with you to help you achieve your career goals. We work together with you, providing resources, advice and practical support along the
way which will assist you to gain employment, training and/or work experience.
These include:
• support to meet your vocational and nonvocational needs
• free computer access, photocopying, phone and fax
• job placement and post- placement support
• mentoring
• online and onsite courses on key topics, such as: preparing résumés, how to conduct a job search and interview techniques
• first time computer user training
• an online website featuring job searching resources and links
• access to a job seeker chat room BC(SA) has specialised experience working with the following groups of people, including:
• Indigneous people
• youth
• refugees and migrants
• the homeless and/or those at risk of homelessness
• people with disabilities’
BC(SA) has both main and satellite offices across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia. Each main office site is open from 9-5pm Monday to Friday, and features:
• full disability access
• tea and coffee facilities
• internet and computer access
• private counselling rooms
• a training room
• hot desks

gain the confidence, knowledge and skills they need to reach their full potential.
How do we work with employers?
BC(SA) is committed to finding the right person for your business. We provide a free service to employers and our staff work closely with you so that we are able to identify the right person to meet your business’s unique needs. Should you choose to partner with us, your first point of contact will be with our Business Development Consultant, who will:
• be available to respond to any of your queries
• ensure that any training needs are met
• liaise with both you and the applicant to ensure that the initial matching runs smoothly
• work closely with all parties to ensure the swift resolution of any issues that may arise
What can we do for your business?
As a Job Services Australia provider, BC(SA) staff will partner with your organisation to find the right person to join your team. In achieving this, we provide the following services:
Job placement
In placing applicants with your business we:
• actively recruit and interview applicants for your job vacancy
• short list and forward to you the résumés of only the most suitable applicants
• follow up with you once the interview process has been completed
• assist with the provision of appropriate safety clothing and tools, where required
• contact both you and the successful applicant shortly after placement to ensure that all parties are satisfied
On the job training
To maximize positive outcomes for your business, we provide support during placements, including:
• ongoing mentoring, training and support to applicants while they are employed with you
• identifying appropriate training options available so that your applicants can enhance their skills
• addressing applicant’s pre- and postemployment training requirements so that your business’s specific needs are met
• sourcing relevant training programs for individuals (both pre- and post- placement with your business)
Traineeships/Apprenticeships
We can provide you with:
• advice on how to proceed with a traineeship/apprenticeship
• step by step assistance with the process
Work Experience and Work for the Dole
In arranging placements within your business we are able to:
• find the right person to meet your requirements
• provide safety clothing, if needed
Wage Subsidies
We can provide you with step by step assistance with this procedure
