Our Specialised Alternative Care Service provides long-term accommodation for young children who are under the Guardianship of the Minister or other order or authority who have a disability and complex health needs.

Emergency Care
Sometimes in life, crisis occurs, but our emergency care service is there to help. Known as Short Term Care, this accommodation option is available 24/7 for children and young people between 0-18 years who have been assessed by the Department for Child Protection as being at risk and are placed under Guardianship orders.

Long term care
A stable home environment is important for children and young people as they grow up.  Unfortunately, this cannot always be provided in their own homes.  We use a therapeutic framework to provide vulnerable and at risk children and youth who are required to live out of home with the support and stability they need.

Moving to Independent Living
Our Stabilisation, Assessment and Transition Service (also known as SATS) provides young people aged 15-18 years under the Guardianship of the Minister with medium to long-term transitional accommodation in our Residential Care Services or Supported Independent Living Service.

Supported Independent Living
Moving into Independent Living can be a daunting prospect and that’s where our Supported Independent Living Service (also known as SILS) comes in. In this program, we work with young people aged between 16-18 years, who are under the Guardianship of the Minister or other order or authority who have demonstrated a desire to live independently.
