From time to time (as funding permits) we run longer expeditions (4-days/3-nights through to 9-days/8-nights) for young people such as:
Adventure Project A drug reduction program for young people who are contemplating and/or ready to face their drug and alcohol use. The main interventions are peer-based drug and alcohol education, therapeutic group work and peer support conducted over a 6-day/5-night wilderness adventure expedition.
Challenges for Life
A holistic program conducted over 9-days/8-nights to the Nullarbor Plain for young people who desire to work toward positive changes in their lives. The main interventions are peer-based drug and alcohol education, peer support and life skills development.
Youth Support
We recognise that one-off adventure experiences can be effective in engaging young people but, without follow-up, sustained growth and/or change are unlikely to result. Adventure Services workers provide youth support, mentoring and referrals to counselling services for young people who request support.
