BC(SA) gratefully acknowledges all those individuals, companies and government departments who make contributions which assist us in our provision of goods and services to the disadvantaged and marginalised members of our communities here in Adelaide, and throughout South Australia.
2009-2010
- BC(SA), in partnership with Excel Training, successfully tendered for funding through the Productivity Places Program under the auspices of the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology and funded by the Commonwealth Government. This funding supports job seekers to gain new skills through provision of training.
- BC(SA) has been successful in gaining a place on the Department of Education and Children’s Services’ Preferred Provider Panel for:

- Community Benefit SA – Funds to provide Camaraderie Camps for Homeless Clients serviced through WestCare or similar services.

- Community Benefit SA – Funds to purchase a box trailer with bike racks for Adventure Services

- Community Benefit SA – Funds for The Choir of Didgeridoos to run workshops, a weekend camp and a public performance

- Arts SA – Funds to provide community arts workshops as part of the The Juicer Program: Let the Creativity Flow

- Ansvar Insurance –funds for the Student Accommodation Support House (SASH) to assist young people who are homeless to complete their education

- Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations – Youth Connections in:

- Community Benefits SA – funds to provide a group mentoring program for homeless youth.

- Variety – funds towards the construction of the Mylor Campsite’s “Sky High” Ropes Course.

- State Attorney General’s Department – funds to run the Amani Crime Prevention Program for African youth
- ICC Culture Support Program – funding for Indigenous Arts Program ‘Wilkun Tump’ and the Indigenous Cultural Affirmation Program which will provide activities that promote and celebrate Indigenous art and culture
- Office of Rec and Sport – supporting the Reel ‘Em In Fishing and Outdoor Adventure program for people with disabilities

- Community Benefit SA – funds for the X-Streams residential program to establish water efficient organic gardens to facilitate garden therapy

- Community Benefit SA – funds to engage disadvantaged and homeless BC(SA) clients in developing a script and starring in their own short film

- Morialta Charitable Trust – funds for Adventure Services to replace rock climbing equipment used on adventure therapy expeditions for disadvantaged youth

- Morialta Charitable Trust – funds for the Mylor Campsite to construct a seated disability friendly viewing platform alongside the new Swing-by-Choice Giant Swing

- Office for Recreation and Sport – funds to construct a disability friendly Swing-by-Choice Giant Swing

- Community Benefit SA – funds for Adventure Camping to purchase outdoor recreation equipment to increase off-site activities and programs for at-risk youth.

- Inger Rice Foundation – funds to run a parenting workshop for families with refugee backgrounds.
- The Rotary Club of Regency Park – funds to help support the BC(SA) Fuse mentoring program for young people from refugee backgrounds

- Community Benefit SA – funds to enable the women of the Myanmar (Karen) community in Mount Gambier to create looms and maintain traditional weaving practices

- Tear Australia – funds for adventure therapy and cultural affirmation camps for Indigenous youth at risk of substance abuse in Port Lincoln and Mount Gambier

- Ansvar Insurance –funds for the Student Accommodation Support House (SASH) to assist young people who are homeless to complete their education

- BC(SA) Refugee Services has received support to create a professional promotional DVD to aid in the recruitment of volunteers

- The Personal Support Program’s popular city-based Adult Literacy and Numeracy program will commence in Gawler and Elizabeth – supported by the Mabel and Franklin Barrett Charitable Trust managed by Trust Company Ltd.

- Adelaide Lions Community Club – funds to purchase new tents for BC(SA)’s adventure therapy programs for at risk youth

- Adelaide City Council – funds enabling our WestCare/Karpandi Arts Centre to run a community carol singing event at Whitmore Square

- Refugee Services’s parenting workshops for newly arrived families who are experiencing stress – supported by the Sunshine Foundation and Children, Youth and Women’s Health Service

- Development of a “Quiet Room” at the WestCare Day Centre – supported with the financial assistance from the Australian Government
- “Wild Unlimited” a program of adventure-based day activities for disadvantaged youth – supported by the Office of Recreation and Sport

- CBSA – Various projects, including the Outreach program – “pay as you go meters” to assist disadvantaged youths with budgeting skills, Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Support Services – the purchase of outdoor recreation equipment for clients, and, the WestCare and Karpandi Arts Centre – purchase of arts materials

- Adelaide Bank Charitable Foundation – funds for a multi-purpose shed to be built at the Mylor Camping
